![]() Not enough to ruin the whole thing though. The game was very challenging even if a bit frustrating at times. Music was pretty good from what I remember. ![]() I really liked learning all those special moves that you learn as you level up and using them on enemies. To me this game had a really big FF12 feel to it, but it is a bit more action then FF12. Infinite Undiscovery I played around 2 years ago. I played around 40 hours (honestly don't know why I played it that long) and then gave up on it because I didn't see any point in continuing. ![]() I thought the game's graphics were very nice. That's how you win battles, not really because of your levels or the weapons you have equiped, although those play a small part. in real time, dodge enemy attacks, perform certain attacks that require precise timing, etc. The battle system has its moments but in general it just doesn't make the game feel like and RPG, but more like an action game. The story and the characters are kinda stupid, not that those matter all that much but just so you know. I think it's somewhere between average and mediocre. If thats what your wanting I suggest those. Those are the only two "jrpg's" I like to spend time with so far on 360. I only stop because other games come along but I always feel an urge to play it some more because of how fun the combat is and how good the loot/customization system is. I work on this game when I am in the mood for an RPG. Doesnt realy have a great story or killer graphics lol and the combat takes some getting used to but I just really enjoy this game a ton. Each of your characters has a chunk of time to spend each "turn" and while they expend their time all of the enemies get to expend theirs. It involves button inputs(not mashing) during combat, combat is kinda time based I guess you would call it. Resonance of Fate is your typical turn based game. It may split the AP up among all 4 of the individuals in your group or only two.Īnyways it usually gives you a good selection but it can be hard to give up total control. If you have like 30 AP to spend that turn and your best dude has a 30 AP move that doesnt mean that will be one of the choices. Depending on the types of individuals and the units formation and their positions within those formations, your selection of attacks will change. The individuals in that unit all have special moves and stuff that requires AP. You can have Each unit attack a seperate enemy unit. You can have 2 units attack the same enemy unit, you can make all 3 attack the same enemy unit. Lets say 4 individuals is a unit and you have 3 units. You can take multiple groups of individuals into battle. The problem with this game is that it is difficult and combat is slightly beyond your control. I think The Last Remnant has a much stronger story than either of those. Overall though I think they are both very very mediocre. I think the combat might have been ok or even fun.and it had some interesting mechanics like having to slay X number of Y creature and Z creature to open a special door. That mixed with the crappy text size was just a bullet straight to my brain. The point is you are going to have a massive cast of characters and you have to make them all talk to people in each village if you want to uncover all the crap in the game. Sometimes you will get new quests or meet new people or who knows what. ![]() I looked at screenshots and im pretty sure it was that game but I may be getting my games mixed up but I think you are able to switch out your lead character in villages, wait scratch that, You MUST switch out main characters in order to have different interactions with villagers. Besides that I think there were other issues. ![]() I probably still couldnt read crap in that game and im not gonna waste my time on something so text heavy that is - unrealable. Infinite Undiscovery I played on my old Standard tv and couldnt read crap. If I wouldnt have been spoiled by countless other awesome RPG's I might have trudged through it but I just quit because I wasnt having fun. The one on ps2 where you slotted characters with skills together and they could creae stuff to use or sell or invent. The ONLY Star Ocean i actually enjoyed alot was The 2nd Chapter or 2nd generation or whatever. Star Ocean bored me out of my ever lovin mind. ![]()
